The British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI) is recognised worldwide as a provider of the highest quality professional Snowsport Teachers. Our qualifications give BASI members the opportunity to gain employment throughout the world including the thriving snowsport markets in the European Alps and North America. BASI has become partners with the National Snowsports Associations in Italy, France and Austria in recognition of the highest professional standards for the European market place. BASI is also a long standing member of the well respected International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA).

Our courses run throughout the autumn, winter and spring using many well-known top quality resorts across Europe. Whilst there is a large range of venues and dates, the demand for BASI qualifications continues to grow.

BASI is collaborating with our European Business Partners (EBPs) which are well established high quality businesses who work in partnership with BASI to support the delivery of BASI Instructor level courses. Each of these businesses is based in the European Alps and is able to access local resources and knowledge which further enhances the quality of the BASI service.

The BASI Gap programme is a range of longer courses for those people who want to immerse themselves in the wonderful atmosphere of the snowsport environment for a season. The course includes the BASI Instructor qualification which adds an exciting focus to this experience. In many cases these courses include snowsport qualifications from other countries and language training as an added extra. One of the real advantages of this programme is that you have a period of experience with a top quality ski school and this can also lead to employment with the ski school at the culmination of the course or the following winter.
