Winter at Hotel Körbersee means getting away from your daily routine, crowds and traffic. Start your skiing day high in the ski area staying in a comfortable ski-in, ski-out hotel and popular mountain restaurant beside a frozen lake at 1,675m above sea level and close to the Falkenkopf chairlift. Hotel Körbersee offers comfortable affordable accommodation in a romantic atmosphere for a minimum of 3 nights in winter. There’s a choice of reasonably priced deluxe Schneestern rooms or inexpensive standard Enzian rooms. The newly constructed Schneestern house provides comfortable spacious rooms with en suite shower bathroom, separate WC, hairdryer, towel warmers, bathrobes, satellite TV and internet. Standard rooms in the original Enzian house are similar in standard to traditional Austrian guesthouse rooms. Each Enzian room has a wash basin with shared toilets and shower facilities nearby on the same floor. Ski holiday packages including competitively priced 4-day ski breaks with 3 day lift pass or 7-day ski holidays with day lift pass.
Good skiing and snowboarding at Warth-Schröcken
Warth-Schröcken ski area offers skiing, boarding and cross-country skiing for varying levels of experience with 60 km of groomed pistes, state-of-the-art chairlifts and plenty of off-piste for freeriding and ski touring including guided off-piste skiing between Warth and Lech – Lech and the better known Arlberg ski area is just a few kilometres from Warth, but the road is closed in winter.
Warth-Schröcken are undoubtedly snow sure. Hotel Körbersee’s owner Fritz Schlierenzauer has been documenting snowfall daily each winter for over 30 years. Average snowfall in Warth-Schröcken in the last 10 years was 11 meters and the record 16.5 meters! Cross-country skiers can enjoy easy trails from the hotel around the lake and back as well as 8km of easy to moderate trails for more experienced cross-country skiers to Hochtannbergpass (Saloberparkplatz) and more trails nearby.

Schneestern house facilities for rest and relaxation include a small but well equipped Wellness area with sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin, Kneipp bath, shower world, and rest areas. Tastefully designed and constructed from natural woods and stone it’s a perfect place to recover before dinner in the Körbersee’s cosy restaurant.

Hotel Körbersee’s mountain restaurant has magnificent panoramic view and is a popular meeting place in winter for skiers, boarders, cross-country skiers and winter hikers. Enjoy a rich breakfast buffet each morning and a 3 course dinner with choice of meal and a salad buffet in the evening in Hotel Körbersee’s spacious dining room. The sun terrace, the bar and the dining room are family friendly and comfortable for chilling-out after an energetic day out on the mountain. Choose bed & breakfast or half board terms, but staying high in the ski area in an hotel with popular mountain restaurant the Körbersee’s half board terms are definitely best value.
Getting to Hotel Körbersee
Hotel Körbersee cannot be reached by car, but there’s car parking available at the top of the Hochtannbergpass or in the village of Schröcken. The hotel will arrange to meet you and escort you to the hotel and your luggage is brought up down in the hotel’s goods lift. There’s also a winter footpath from Hochtannberg through an enchanting mountain landscape to Hotel Körbersee or you can ride the Saloberkopf chairlift then ski down on easy runs to the hotel.
