THE OMNIA Mountain Lodge Hotel, Zermatt
Stunning architecture and design
THE OMNIA’s interior design was inspired by its alpine surroundings. Here, classic design elements from a number of eras go hand in hand with more modern looks created especially for the resort. There are no flamboyant trends and no garish colours. Instead, impeccable attention to detail makes for a warm and nurturing setting and an impressive blend of light wood, stone, steel and glass with tasteful soft furnishings.
Rooms and suites
THE OMNIA’s 30 rooms including 12 suites couldn’t be more diverse. They have no numbers and vary in their layout and sizes. All 30 rooms and suites are exceptionally well equipped including state-of-the-art technology. In addition, most rooms and suites have a balcony with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Restaurant
In THE OMNIA’s 60-seat restaurant residents and guests are cordially welcome. Here, you’ll feel like you’re spending an evening having dinner in the home of friends. The understated staff and architecture, the flickering fire and the soft light create a unique atmosphere. THE OMNIA’s culinary experience is complemented by modern, uncomplicated cuisine. Executive Chef Mischa Pfeuti focuses on quality above all. Pure, authentic flavours are reflected in the seasonal dishes. After dinner, guests can relax on the sofa in front of the fire, sipping espresso and grappa.
Cavern
THE OMNIA’s new cavern is a spectacular space deep in the cliff, isolated from the outside world. It’s a place for creativity, tranquillity and concentration, as well as pleasure and enjoyment – a unique environment for meetings and video conferencing, dinners, movies, music and relaxing.
Feel well
Pamper body and soul at THE OMNIA’s spacious spa and fitness facilities with latest techno gym equipment, with indoor and outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi overlooking the Matterhorn, sauna and steam bath.
Zermatt and environs
Zermatt is situated in the backcountry of the utterly romantic Visper valley at an altitude of 1,616 m. The famed village at the foot of the Matterhorn is on the same latitude line as Lugano, making it the most southern resort in all of Switzerland. Surrounded by more than a dozen mountains that range between 3,000m – 4,000m Zermatt is 100% alpine and rated among the best ski resorts in the world. Automobiles are nowhere to be seen. Instead, horse-drawn sleighs, carriages and electric carts are used for transportation.
Getting to THE OMNIA Mountain Lodge, Zermatt
It takes between 2-4 hours to get to Zermatt from the Zurich, Geneva, Basel, Berne or Milan airports – or 30 to 80 minutes if you’re travelling by helicopter. If driving from the airport, park at Tasch then board the train to Zermatt. Phone THE OMNIA when you board the train and hotel’s electric car will greet you on arrival in Zermatt some 15 minutes later and bring you and your luggage to the hotel.
