Oxygene Ski and Snowboard School

Oxygène Ski School has been awarded the “Best European Ski School of the Year” award for 2009 by Hardy’s Skiing & Snowboarding Guide. Oxygène are proud to offer a professional service, with English speaking instructors and small lesson groups, as well as a multi-lingual reservations team available 24/7.


It seems we have been growing from strength to strength since our humble beginnings almost 20 years ago, when the Monvallier brothers decided to take skiing matters into their own hands and set up the life-support system every skier or would-be skier needs.

Oxygène offers a variety of snow activities, including alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, telemarking, off-piste skiing & guiding, and group or private lessons exclusively in English.

Oxygène's greatest strength, however, is being able to offer children’s and adults’ group lessons throughout the season. Children’s groups run in English with a maximum of 6 children per class in Val d’Isère and 8 to 10 children in La Plagne. We are the proud winners of ‘Best European Ski School 2009’ voted for by the Hardy’s Ski and Snowboard awards. Plus all of our instructors speak English as 90% of our customers are English. So rest assured you are in safe hands with us.

For disabled skiers, Oxygène have the latest ‘dualski’ chair made by a company called 'Pierre Tessier'. When seated in this specially designed chair, less mobile skiers will experience new sensations of movement on snow as well as the undivided attention of Oxygène’s best and most experienced instructors.



Oxygène have ski and snowboard rental shops in La Plagne and Val d’Isère too. Our large range of equipment is perfectly adapted to suit all tastes and techniques. We adhere to an uncompromising buying technique, using only the best manufacturers to ensure our clients safety and comfort. Furthermore, our equipment is serviced to the best standard using the most up to date servicing technology.

In La Plagne Oxygène also offer a free taxi service for all Oxygène customers - free transportation to our lessons and shops. Ski school and ski-shop customers benefit from three 9-seated mini-buses to and from all the villages in La Plagne, 7 days a week.

We are particularly proud of our off-piste lessons – courses such as Steep’n’Deep and Steep’n’Fast are perfect for advanced adolescents and adults. This offers the chance to experience the fantastic off-piste areas in Paradiski and L’Espace Killy, and provides a real challenge for those ready to test out the fresh, untouched powder snow.
