If you are looking for a unique experience while on a career break, a gap year or just some time off, Peak Leaders has the ideal ski or snowboard instructor course or improver course for you.
Our ski and snowboard instructor courses are unique; not only will they provide you with the opportunity to improve your skiing or riding beyond recognition, you’ll meet loads of like-minded people, develop your skills in leadership, become a qualified first aider, gain knowledge about avalanche awareness, whilst having a highly rewarding and most importantly fun time in a totally different environment.
If you are solely looking for an adventure, go to Gulmarg. 2 weeks of powder skiing in the Himalayas with an optional 1 week add on to experience all Kashmir has to offer. Everything about this course is unique, from staying on a houseboat for a night, to our choice of hotel, the quirky Highland Park, to the delicious local cuisine.
For Peak Leaders Canadian courses in Banff and Whistler, Level 1 and 2 of the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) and the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors are offered, plus many other optional modules including freestyle coach, park and pipe coach, adaptive ski coach CADS Level 1. The only tough decision is whether to choose Whistler, the world’s most famous ski resort or Banff with some of the most adventurous in- bounds freeriding!

If you’d like to be a little closer to home, what about an instructor course in the Alps? Peak Leaders work with the British Association of Snowsports Instructors (BASI), providing BASI Level 1 and 2 courses in Zermatt, Saas Fee and Verbier. Each of these resorts have been chosen for their Alpine charm, excellent snow-record, a lively après ski scene and the quality of skiing on the mountain.
How about somewhere totally culturally different? Sample the best powder in the world in Myoko, Japan with Peak Leaders. You’ll receive a warm welcome from the locals and before you know it, a relaxing soak in one of the many onsen (natural hot springs) will become part of your daily routine.
Or become an instructor on our course in the Andes in Bariloche, Argentina, one of the most spectacular resorts we’ve ever been to. Stay in a beautiful traditional lodge on the shores of the glittering Lake Nahuel Huapi, sample the world renound Argentine steaks, Malbec wine and go on a horse back trip with the gauchos into the outback…the options are endless.If you’d like to fast track your career break or gap year, try our 4 week instructor course in the beautiful Austrian Tyrolean resort of St Anton am Arlberg where you’ll Experience great hospitality and lively après ski in the many bars on and off the piste. We train with the famous Alberg Ski School, one of the most respected ski schools worldwide, who will coach you towards your Austrian Level 1 qualification. Better yet, there are guaranteed jobs for the season with the school upon passing your exam, with accommodation included. Ideal if you want to start teaching straight away.
One of our most popular instructor courses is in Queenstown, New Zealand, the adventure capital of the world. Heli skiing comes as part of the package! You’ll work towards your Snowboard Instruction New Zealand (SBINZ) or New Zealand Snowsports Instructors Association (NZSIA) CSI and Level 1 exams.
