Andorra’s ski resorts are enjoying excellent snow conditions, with some claiming to have the best early season snow levels for 40 years. Both Grandvalira and Vallnord will be fully open by Friday, after the majority of resorts opened last weekend following the good conditions. Snow has been falling since early October allowing resorts to make the necessary preparations, whilst more snow continues to fall. A tourist office spokesperson said, ‘At the moment, we have 40cm of snow in the resort and 70cm on the summits and it is still snowing’. Director of Ski Andorra, Marta Rotes, added, ‘The conditions are near perfect and we just had to open to take advantage of the situation’.
