Sun Peaks has received its first snow of the season with just over an inch of snow falling at the mid-mountain weather station. The snow has added to the excitement ahead of the new season with the resort boasting several new features this season. Perhaps the most notable addition is the major expansion of the Lonesome Fir Glades off the Sundance Express Chair, which provides Sun Peaks skiers with access to numerous new ski routes.
Lonesome Fir Glades is just one of the twenty lines that have either been created or expanded. The improvements are designed to broaden the choice available to all levels of skier, providing steep and challenging terrain for experts, yet also offering adjacent gentler pitches for beginners, some of which are now twenty feet wide.
