Grandvalira Announce Another Lift Pass Price Hike12-10-08
The Andorran ski region of Grandvalira has taken a step closer to becoming Europe’s most expensive lift ticket after announcing yet another significant price hike for the 2008-09 season. A six day lift pass in peak season will cost 213.50 Euros – more expensive than the likes of Verbier. Although the ticket provides access to the villages of Pas de la Casa and Soldeu, the pass is on the verge of becoming the most expensive pass for a single European resort, with Ischgl’s 219.50 Euro pass currently in possession of that dubious title. Whilst the Dolomiti Superski pass, the Mont Blanc Unlimited pass and the Three Valleys lift ticket are all more expensive than the Grandvalira pass, they each provide access to ski areas rather than to a single resort.
