Les Deux Alpes to Host Kumi Yama Event 26-06-09
Les Deux Alpes is to host a Japanese themed board sport event on its glacier at the start of next month. The three day Kumi Yama event begins on July 3rd, with €10,000 and a trip to Tokyo the prize for the winner. Last year’s Taravana freestyle event proved a huge success with its Tahiti theme, and this year’s event will once again bring together European Freestyle skiers and snowboarding professionals. Japanese riders are invited to take part, with a choice of two competitions to enter. The Slopestyle competition is for teams of three, whilst there is also a new one-on-one super pipe competition. This year’s event will also have a professional and amateur photo competition.Related Links
