Moving Mountain Chalets Announces Haiti Fundraising Plan 28-01-10
Moving Mountain Chalets in Steamboat Springs is donating 5 per cent of any bookings made before the end of the season to help victims of the Haiti earthquake. The owners of the luxury home company have strong connections with the Caribbean, and will donate the money to Doctors without Borders Emergency Relief Fund.
Having moved from the Caribbean twelve years ago, Robin Craigen, president of Moving Mountains, recognizes the stark difference between the luxury homes they are offering, and the conditions which the earthquake victims are currently living in.
Employees of Moving Mountains are also doing their bit for the cause, and have pledged to donate 2 per cent of lodging value from their wages, while the company will match that with a further 3 per cent.
