SWISS launches new flights from Manchester to Geneva 11-10-08
Saturdays
Out: Manchester (leaving 17:25) to Geneva (arriving 19:25)
Return: Geneva (leaving 14:35) to Manchester (arriving 16:45)
Sundays
Out: Manchester (leaving 10:45) to Geneva (arriving 12:45)
Return: Geneva (leaving 07:55) to Manchester (arriving 10:05)
As well as offering a direct connection to the city of Geneva itself and all its winter offerings, the new service will afford travellers access to a range of acclaimed ski resorts in the nearby area such as Les Gets, Morzine, Megeve, Avoriaz, Chamonix, Villars and Verbier.
Gregor Koncilja, country sales manager UK and Ireland at SWISS, said, “Leisure travellers looking for a ski holiday or extended city break can now escape conveniently and directly to Geneva, whilst enjoying the services of a top quality airline and the associated benefits of free baggage allowance, complimentary transportation of skis, food and beverage and, of course, Swiss hospitality from the moment they board the flight. We will also be offering a business class service for those who wish to travel out of Manchester in style and enjoy the benefits of our elegant business class lounge in Geneva.”
In addition, SWISS will from 26 October begin operating its Manchester to Zurich route on Airbus A319s, offering larger seats and a 24 per cent increase capacity over its current Fokker-operated service, which is good news for skiers and boarders in the North of England looking for improved flights to Zurich which is convenient for Arosa and Davos-Klosters in the Swiss canton of Graubunden or for St Anton, Stuben and Lech-Zurs over the border in Austria.
