New Overnight Rail Service to Austrian Ski Resorts03-11-08
An overnight rail service is the latest means of transport being promoted to British skiers as an alternative to flying. The Bergland Express offers an overnight service to famous Austrian ski resorts including Innsbruck, Kitzbuhel , St Anton and Zell am See. The service aims to appeal to British skiers looking to reduce the amount of hassle involved in travelling, with only one change required between London and their chosen ski resort. Having disembarked the Eurostar in Brussels, skiers can get the Bergland Express direct to an Austrian ski resort from Aachen each Friday. The train returns a week later on Saturday evening for a mid-morning London arrival on Sunday. Double- and three-birth sleepers are available, whilst four- and six-berth couchette apartments are also available.
