Slovak Ski Resort Announces Improvements 10-10-08

The Slovak ski resort of Tatranska Lomnica has confirmed plans to make improvements to the resort totalling €11 million ahead of the new ski season. The proposals include the construction of a new quad chairlift, new snowmaking equipment, new ski rental facilities and a new kids’ school and ski area. The resort also plans to create an additional three miles of piste, which will help to form Slovakia’s longest piste measuring four miles in length. The resort is also set to build a new après ski bar, whilst night skiing will be on offer for the first time to keen skiers.

Tantranska Lomnica is situated in the High Tatras Mountains, just 20 minutes away from Poprad international airport, which is served by flights from London Luton as well as Dublin and Manchester. At just 15 miles long, the High Tatras Mountains are world’s shortest mountain range.
