While Au-Schoppernau itself has just 44km of skiing on Diedamskopf the total extent of skiing available is 199km if you include the ski areas at Daműls-Mellau and Warth-Schröcken which are within a 20km radius of Au-Schoppernau and easily reached by car or free ski bus. The ski area on Diedamskopf (2096m) and Falzer Kopf (1968m) is adequately served by half a dozen modern ski lifts which distribute skiers and boarders efficiently around 44km of well groomed pistes and queuing is not a problem.

Advanced Skiing
Strong skiers can easily ski most if not all of the Diedamskopf ski area in a day, but if you are an expert skier there’s good off-piste skiing nearby at Warth-Schrőcken including guided skiing off-piste between Warth and Lech in the Arlberg.

Au-Schoppernau’s Diedamskopf ski area is best for intermediates and above, not least because the grading of some blue and red runs under estimates the degree of steepness encountered at the beginning of the runs.

Beginner Skiing
The Diedamskopf ski area at Au-Schoppernau includes 14km of blue runs, but much of the ski area terrain is quite steep and not really suitable for novices and beginners who will soon get bored with the nursery slopes and the limited amount of mountain terrain for beginners.
