Le Massif is unique in that you park your car at the top of the mountain and access the trails from the summit rather than the base. It’s tiny compared to most ski resorts, with just 302 acres (122 ha) of skiing, a mere fraction of the size of some of the resorts in the United States. And it’s steep, too, with the highest vertical drop east of the Canadian Rockies. There are fantastic views of the St. Lawrence River and out to the open sea from many of the trails.

Skiing & Boarding

With only 43 trails, Le Massif doesn’t offer the same level of choice as other, larger resorts, but it holds its own in terms of vertical thrills. The National Alpine Ski Training Center, famed for training the Canadian ski team, has an excellent reputation and is the only facility of its kind in Québec.
