Mont Tremblant Skiing And Boarding

Versant Soleil and Nord both have high-speed quads covering all the pistes, Sud has a high-speed gondola that takes nine minutes to get from the Place St. Bernard to the summit, and Edge has a quad chair. Beginners stay around Équilibre, a special two-acre (0.8-ha) area uniquely dedicated to beginner skiers and snowboarders, but Versant Sud also has green and some not too difficult blue trails from the top of the mountain, so the choice expands quite rapidly once you’ve mastered the basics. For intermediates the easier blues are on Versant Sud, while Versant Nord has some tougher challenges. Half the trails are designated black or double black, making the going quite tough on any of the four ski areas. Dynamite, a double black on Versant Nord, is extremely steep. The Edge has some difficult trails, both steep and moguled, and often icy.
The terrain park, Nintendo Park, has three different areas. Progression (south side), Intermediate (north side) and Advanced 9south side). Along with the Superpipe they cover more than 40 acres (16 ha) and are full of various jumps and rails. The park has a massive sound system too (50,000 watts).
The Mont Tremblant Snow School has a great reputation. They limit class sizes to seven, and you’ll always have a friendly bilingual instructor. Skiing classes are held for children aged three to 12, and snowboarding classes for children aged seven to 12. There are special ski weekends, ski weeks, and private lessons in skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and telemarking. There are lots of added activities too, like First Track—be the first to make your mark on the slopes; Gliding Evenings; and night-time tubing.
Full-day lift passes cost Cdn$66 for adults (18–64), Cdn$39 for teens (13–17) Cdn$57 for Seniors (65 ), and Cdn$38 for children (6–12), with fives and under (Pee Wees) skiing free.
