Revelstoke Ski Resort

For years this mountain has been a haven solely for cat and heli skiing clientele. Now with 2 high speed quads and an 8 person gondola, the formidable terrain of Revelstoke has opened its gates to resort skiers. RMR is the only resort in the world that offers Lift, Cat and Heli ski services from one resort village base.
While not on the scale of acreage as Whistler Blackcomb, RMR now serves the longest lift-serviced vertical skiing in North America (1,713 meters/5,620feet). The terrain is known for its amazing fall line skiing, a mountain that needs minimal traversing. The 8 person Revelation Gondola whisks you up from the Village (still under development) to Mid Mountain elevation. From here you take a quick cat track to the Stoke chair which shuttles you straight in to the alpine terrain. The Ripper chair serves the entire North Bowl area.
The biggest attraction of Revelstoke is the terrain and the snowfall. Almost half of the acreage is designated as advanced/expert skiing, with very little room for the beginner or novice skier. The resort sits amid the picturesque Selkirk Mountains, which receive an average annual snowfall between 12 to 18 meters (40 to 60 feet). The snow in interior British Columbia is known for its low moisture content, much drier than that of the coastal mountains.
Located on the Trans-Canada Highway two hours from the airport in Kelowna, Revelstoke is the last township before crossing east into Rogers Pass. While the town of Revelstoke may be “removed but not remote”, the distance from a major international airport means international visitors must connect in either Vancouver or Calgary. RMR is approximately 10 minutes’ drive form the town of Revelstoke.

Boarding & Freestyle
Snowboarders benefit just as much from the fall line terrain at RMR. While boot packing and traversing may be more arduous than of alpine or ski touring equipment, if you are staying within the boundaries there is no reason why a snowboard can’t access the same amazing lines.

Off Piste Skiing
Having started as a back country destination for cat and heli, the off-piste terrain of Mount Mackenzie is single biggest attraction for the thousands of hard core skiers and riders that have made the move to Revelstoke. This resort is the only village in the world that offers lift, cat and heli operations from the one resort base.
