Chamonix Intermediate Skiing
© copyright Chamonix Promotion - Maison du Tourisme
Strong intermediates should be able to ski in all Chamonix's different ski areas, though not all of the different runs. The place to start is Le Tour which has the most gentle intermediate terrain; the blues are enjoyable and the reds are far easier than those in the rest of the ski area. Bear in mind that the short runs from the top of Aiguillette de Posettes get the first sun of the day.
La Flégère is home to many reds which would definitely be called blacks in other resorts and the best runs are accessed from the top of the Index lift, with the Combe Lachenal (F12) a particular favourite. The slopes of Le Brévent have been redesigned to make them more intermediate friendly.
