Nendaz Accommodation

Most of the accommodation in Nendaz is chalet or apartment-based so round up a group of friends or book hotels in advance. There are four three-star hotels in Nendaz and a four-star hotel with serviced apartments on the way in 2010. This will take the number of hotel beds up to 630.

Hotel Mont Fort
The hotel has been recently renovated and the 34 rooms, which vary in size from standard double to an eight-bed apartment, are cheerfully decorated with brightly coloured accent walls and flat-screen TVs. The lounge space is modern and design-led with many artworks. In the basement there is a new artisan furniture shop which also sells objet d’art of local origin. The hotel has one of Nendaz’s best restaurants, La Poya and it’s a 200m (5 min) walk up to the gondola.

Hotel Le Déserteur
Family-run for over 40 years, Le Déserteur is dark, traditional and chintzy. Some of the 25 rooms overlook the picturesque Rhône Valley and there is one family room – a double with an inner door to a twin room.

Hotel Les Etagnes
A boutique-style hotel with eight rooms, all clad in charcoal and burgundy fabrics. The bathrooms are simple and modern and fluffy white bathrobes are provided. Kitsch cow prints adorn the walls and there is a sauna room and a small, cosy lounge to retreat to. Les Etagnes also has a restaurant for lunch and dinner and an après ski terrace with a glasshouse bar.

Hotel Mont-Rouge
Set back from the main road, Hotel Mont-Rouge offers basic but spacious and light rooms in timber-clad chalets. Some en-suites have a bath and some have a shower. The hotel has an award-winning gourmet restaurant.

APARTMENTS AND CHALETS

There are almost 20,000 beds available in chalet and apartment accommodation, making up the bulk of options in Nendaz. These range in quality from basic to five-star. You can book these independently through lettings agencies such as Interhome (nendaz@interhome.ch), Inter-Agence (info@inter-agence.ch), Immo-Centrale (immo@nendaz.ch), and Tour St-Martin SA (nendaz@tour-st-martin.ch). You can also book some accommodation online through the Nendaz site.
