Verbier is a good place for learning to ski off-piste
terrain and steeps, for example at the English-speaking Warren Smith Academy.
Verbier is a significant place for learning to ski – not
particularly from novice level, but for keen skiers who want to jump
off the ‘intermediate plateau’, and get to grips with the extensive off-piste
terrain and steeps. There’s also significant demand for guiding.
La
Maison du Sport, La Fantastique and Adrenaline have run ski lessons in the Swiss resort for a number of years, and also provide
guiding. In the last few years a number of specialist operations have opened up. One of these is European Snowsport, a small English-run ski school that offers both ski and snowboard lessons as well as excellent ski clinics (for moguls, carving, off-piste, ladies-only and freestyle) as well as programmes for children and teenagers.
Ski performance The Warren Smith Ski Academy has a long association with Verbier and is well known for its innovative teaching approach, helping intermediate and advanced skiers to take their skiing to the next level.
