The Canyons Ski Resort
The ski area covers eight mountains with 167 trails to suit all ability levels. The season runs from November to early April, with the peak time February to March and low season early December and January. The snow record is impeccable with an almost guaranteed 355 inches (901 cm) of snow per year. Most visitors are from the U.S. but the dynamics are now changing with more visitors coming from elsewhere.

Ski area
The Canyons is best suited for the skier who likes to ski the natural

The trails are not so wide and void of trees that you forget
that you are in the mountain, and there is a good variety of black and

Lift system
There are 18 lifts in total: two gondola-style lifts, five high-speed express chairs, five quads, two triples, two double chairs and two surface lifts, with capacity to carry in excess of 25,000 people per hour. more...

Beginners’ skiing is relatively limited at The Canyons, though there is a dedicated 7 acre beginner’s area at the top of the Flight of the Canyons gondola.

The Canyons has 44 percent of trails designated for intermediates. The area around the Dreamscape and Day Break lifts offers solitude, spectacular views and plenty of wide open blue trails. more...
Advanced
The advanced or expert skier will find nearly half of The Canyons 167 trails suitable for them. There are black diamond trails, with both steeps and moguls, plus tree runs and wide open canyons. The toughest skiing, for those in search of bumps or the steep and deep, is from Ninety Nine 90 Express quad, where you can also enjoy spectacular views. more...
