Deer Valley's Ski School
The Ski School offers programs and activities for skiers of all ages and abilities. You can book lessons in the Ski School Office on the plaza level of the Snow Park Lodge, 8:30 am–5:00 pm or call 435-645-6648. Lessons can run from half-day to full day, 9:00 am–4:00 pm. The maximum number for group lessons is four people. For private corporate groups, anywhere from one to five people are allowed. The youngest age for lessons is three years old. The Max 4 semi-private group lesson focuses on technique and skiing goals to help skiers to achieve the next zone of performance. Participants are closely grouped by ski ability, comfort level and lesson goals. Participants must be 18 years or older.

The Mahre Training Center Ski Camps
Last season, Deer Valley introduced the Mahre Training Center Ski Camps, hosted by American Olympic medal winners, brothers Steve and Phil Mahre. There will be two five-day and three three-day Mahre Training Center Ski Camps at Deer Valley this season, scheduled for December 9–11, 2005 (three-day); December 12–16, 2005 (five-day); January 6–8, 2006 (three-day); January 9–13, 2006 (five-day); and February 3–5, 2006 (three-day). Class sizes for the clinics will be between five and seven people, ages 12 years and older, all ability zones. Cost for each clinic is US$595 (including lift ticket) for the three-day camp and US$910 (including lift ticket) for the five-day camp. Participants will receive six hours of daily instruction by Deer Valley’s top ski instructors; skiing with Phil and Steve Mahre during the camp; daily lift tickets; evening sessions; unique Mahre Training Center progression; video and other amenities.

Specialty programs for men and women
Deer Valley runs innovative specialty programs for men and women. Courses concentrate on stance, balance and alignment analysis, video analysis and new equipment demos.

The Men on Thursdays program (all ability zones) is US$550 per person (excluding lift tickets) and runs five consecutive Thursdays on January 5, 12, 19, 26 and February 2, 2006. Two Men’s Weekends (all ability zones) are offered this season, either February 3–5, 2006 or March 3–5, 2006. The cost is US$430 per person, excluding lift tickets.

The Women on Wednesdays program (all ability zones) is US$550 per person (excluding lift tickets) and runs five consecutive Wednesdays, January 4, 11, 18, 25 and February 1, 2006. Two Women’s Weekends (all ability levels) are offered this season, either February 3–5, 2006 or March 3-5, 2006. The cost is US$430 per person, excluding lift tickets.

There are also lessons for kids aged 3-12. Choose from The Fawn Special, The Bambi Club, The Reindeer Club and The Adventure club. The price for any of the above children’s programs is US$140 per child and includes lesson, lift ticket, lunch and snack.
