Heavenly's nearest international airports
The nearest international airports to Heavenly are Reno-Tahoe (55 miles/88 km) and Sacramento (110 miles/177 km). Transfer time by road is 75 minutes from Reno and two hours from Sacramento. If you are driving from elsewhere in the United States, Highway 50 provides direct, all-weather access and driving times are eight hours from Los Angeles, three hours from San Francisco and three hours from San José. Heavenly's rail and shuttle connections
Amtrak trains connect to Reno. From the station in Reno take a taxi to Reno/Tahoe International Airport and then the Tahoe Casino Express to South Lake Tahoe. There’s a free shuttle service throughout South Lake Tahoe (California) and Stateline (Nevada), making stops at most major lodging properties and at the base facilities: the California Base Lodge, the base of the Heavenly Gondola in the new Village at Heavenly, and Stagecoach and Boulder Lodges in Nevada. Look for the colored “Shuttle Bus Stop” signs. An express shuttle runs from the Heavenly Gondola to California Base Lodge.
