Set in central Oregon, Mount Bachelor is Oregon’s premier ski resort. Skiers and snowboarders travel here for the quality snow conditions of the Cascade Mountains and cross-country skiers and snowshoeing fans vacation in the cascades for the numerous trails and spectacular mountain views.

With 370 inches (940 cm) annual snowfall, 71 marked trails, countless unmarked chutes, glades, and tree trails, along with some of the world’s fastest lifts, Mount Bachelor is the finest ski area in Oregon. All levels of skiers will enjoy the diversity and beauty this mountain has to offer. Nordic skiers have 35 miles (56 km) of groomed trails to explore, not to mention thousands of acres of open wilderness. The ski season at Mount Bachelor runs from mid-November to Memorial Day Weekend in May.

Generally considered inexpensive by U.S. standards, Mount Bachelor is a daytime ski area. In nearby Bend, Redmond, Sisters, and Sunriver there are fine hotels, lodgings, cabin rentals, and bed and breakfast establishments. The drive to the mountain, while straight and only 20 minutes, is the sacrifice you make for affordable lodgings and great skiing.
