Steamboat is a three-hour drive from Denver International Airport, 22 miles (35 km) from the Yampa Valley Regional Airport, known as Hayden (H.D.N.) and 95 miles (158 km) from Eagle Airport. There are shuttle transfers to and from the airports.

The resort at Steamboat Springs, Colorado, lies 160 miles (258 km) northwest of Denver—a three-hour drive from Denver International Airport. The Yampa Valley Regional Airport, known as Hayden (H.D.N.), is just 22 miles (35 km) from the resort, and Eagle Airport is 95 miles (158 km) away. There are scheduled shuttle transfers to and from the airports and around town there is a free local bus between the resort base area and the town (about five minutes’ drive). Many lodging properties provide shuttle services too.
