Sun Valley Resort is located in South Central Idaho in the Northern Rockies.

It’s pretty remote and can be difficult to get to. The nearest international airport is Salt Lake City, Utah, or Seattle, Washington. From Salt Lake it’s a four to five hours’ drive. However, there are now direct, non-stop daily flights from Los Angeles International Airport, via Horizon Air, to Friedman Memorial Airport—a regional airport in Hailey, only 11 miles (18 km) south of Sun Valley—but bad weather sometimes closes it, and it cannot handle big jets, so most visitors still come via Twin Falls, about 90 minutes away.
