Pub crawls tend to start off in restaurants like KSB or El Tupi in the Plaza dels Vaquers then do the round of the bars in this fashionable square. On the route definite stops should be made at the Amadeus disco pub, the Habana Club Latin disco and Underground for house and dance music.

As the night wears on El Mexicano in Bearne Street and Billboard in the basement of the Condor Hotel are usually heaving.

Those who prefer British or Irish pubs won’t be disappointed with Avalanche (in the basement of the Himalaia Hotel) Crack (in the Christina Hotel) or Milwaokee in Bearn Street.
