Bad Kleinkirchheim

Well groomed and rounded, that's Bad Kleinkirchheim.

Deep in Austria's most southern province of Kärnten (Carinthia), Bad Kleinkirchheim is a well-rounded resort, full of the good things in life and the home of Downhill ski legend Franz Klammer.

From its mountains, which are more wooded and rolling than the jagged peaks of Tirol, with mostly well-groomed intermediate slopes to the old spa town with its comfortable luxury hotels, elegant restaurants and spas and its mostly well-heeled and well-fed visitors BKK has it all.

As the home of Franz Klammer, Bad Kleinkirchheim might be expected to be full of good skiing - which it is – but somewhat surprisingly there are few really tough challenges. There is, however, magnificent steep cruising with the majority of the runs classified red. BKK is ideal for intermediates who like to push themselves and for families who like to ski fast!
