There's a wide variety of accommodation options in Mayrhofen, with more than 50 hotels and numerous B&Bs, apartments and chalets.

Mayrhofen has a total of 8,680 tourist beds. There are more than 50 hotels overall including 20 four-star hotels, almost 200 B&Bs, around 130 apartments and numerous chalets. At the top of the pile is the five star Hotel Elizabeth – a classic, family-run hotel, where pampering takes on new heights. After a day on the slopes, you can relax in one of the hot rooms, steam baths or saunas, followed by a refreshing visit to a plunge tank, an excellent pool area, and a quick cocktail at the chimney bar before settling down to a sumptuous evening meal accompanied by the best Austrian wines.

The four-star Kramerwirt, originally a general store, has grown from being a well frequented village guest house to a celebrated alpine hotel. The owners have recently been awarded the state coat of arms and the Tyrolean eagle for their efforts. Even dogs are welcome – at two euros a day (without dog-food).

For skiers who don’t like walking, the three-star Ferienhotel Garni Kumbichl is handily placed right next to the Ahorn cablecar. By way of contrast, the Waldhaus Lechner B B organises fitness training in the mornings and a special “sport breakfast” – so it’s not surprising to find that the owners also run one of Mayrhofen’s ski schools.
