Banff Lake Louise / Accommodation

There is a wide choice of accommodations in and around Lake Louise village, only a 10-minute driving distance from the Lake Louise Ski Area. At the top end of the spectrum, the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, located at the shoreline of Lake Louise, in front of the Victoria Glacier, is a vast Victorian pile. Sumptuous it may be but pretty it isn’t. However, it’s not as expensive as it looks and group bookings can be attractively priced. In contrast, the International Youth Hostel has dorms, double rooms, a library and veggie café.

There are plenty of other lodgings options—B&Bs, motels, and lodges—to suit all pockets in the town off Banff. There’s even a winter camping site offering tent and trailer lodging. Sunshine’s only accommodations are at the ski-in, ski-out Sunshine Inn.
