Jasper / Accommodation

If you’re seeking on-hill accommodation you will not find it in Jasper; but there are 15 lodges, and some 1,800 beds, located in and around the town, including the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, situated on Lac Beauvert two miles (5 km) across the Athabasca River from the town of Jasper.
Here there are 442 luxurious rooms in cedar chalets and original log cabins, and this is one of Jasper’s oldest and most unique properties. Ice fishing, sleigh rides, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing all happen from this resort. Other lodging options include the redecorated Amethyst Lodge with 97 oversized rooms. The Astoria Hotel is a cozy little Alpine hotel with 35 elegantly renovated guest rooms. The Tonquin Inn is located only blocks from downtown Jasper, and offers 136 spacious rooms, several with kitchenettes, saunas, and in-room wood-burning fireplaces. The Athabasca Hotel, located in the heart of Jasper with 61 rooms, is priced for all budgets and has a nightclub featuring live entertainment. At the budget end there are several Bed & Breakfast-style accommodations, without the breakfast, or the European equivalent of guesthouses via the Jasper Home Accommodation Association (check out www. visit-jasper.com). Or, if you really want to keep your accommodations costs very low, there is also a winter campsite.
