Being a town more than a resort, there are lots of non-ski
activities in Chamonix. As you would expect from such a centre for summer climbing,
there are excellent indoor climbing facilities as well as a wide range
of ice-climbing opportunities. Staying on the ice, there are indoor and
outdoor ice rinks, as well as a bowling alley, swimming pool and
casino. If you are after an aerial view, check out the helicopter
flights or paragliding. There is also a cinema and quick links to
neighbouring cities such as Annecy, Turin and Geneva.
Ultimate-Ski.com and the Canadian Ski Destination Consortium are giving away a 7-day ski holiday for 2 to one of 10 great Canadian ski resorts. The winner gets to choose which resort with flights from UK courtesy of Canadian Affair.
