The sports centre in Val Thorens has recently been overhauled and
the new swimming pool is a vast improvement. However, there is not a
huge amount to do in either Val Thorens or Les Menuires for nonskiers.
The village atmosphere of St Martin is better and there are some
beautiful 17th century Baroque churches both in the village and along
the road up the valley. There are free concerts held in Notre Dame de
le Vie in St Martin.
