Oberstdorf-Kleinwalsertal / Apres-ski
The Franzlwirt and the Wilde Männle at the bottom station of the Nebelhorn cable car are good spots to stop for a refreshing drink en route. There are umbrella bars on the bottom station at the Walmendinerg Horn and the Kanzelwand gondola - lively and sunny places for a drink with good music and atmosphere.Try one of the beers on tap and wash it down with a ‘Williams’ - a schnapps with a chunk of pear on a cocktail stick. A little further away, in the village of Rietzlern, the Gasthof Steinbock, with live music is the most popular place for après ski. In Oberstdorf itself, the Hörbar, in Prinzenstrasse is the in-place for the younger crowd, with a good cocktail menu, DJ , live bands at times and some themed evenings. The freshly renovated Café Bistro Relax has a pleasant atmosphere with good music – just the place to enjoy a beer or glass of wine. Food is served throughout the day. O’Reilly’s Irish Pub, well located in the centre of town, has good music and some live bands, and special evenings with quiz or karaoke nights. Joselito, a charming cellar bar with international flair, serves cocktails and Spanish/Mexican food. It also has live bands some evenings and themed evenings. The charming St James cocktail and dance bar caters for the 30+ clientele.
The Dampfbierbraürei micro brewery and bar has popular music and bands some evenings, and some of the best cloudy wheat beer and pork knuckles in the Allgäu.
