Unlike the other resorts in the Aosta valley, Courmayeur is
privately owned by the Compagnie des Alpes, and has not enjoyed the
same degree of regional investment as the neighbouring resorts. But
recently the Compagnie has promised some much-needed
investment. The top cable cars are very antiquated and there are still
a few slow two-man chairs but queues are not really a problem apart
from the base lifts on Sundays, the top cable cars and sometimes the
Zerotta chair later in the afternoon.
