Monterosa Ski Resort getting there

Monterosa / Getting there

For Gressoney and Champoluc the nearest point to fly to is Turin Caselle international airport from where it’s a little over one hour by road to Gressoney and one and a half hours to Champoluc.

Milan’s Malpensa airport is about two hours by road to Alagna and Gressoney, and two and a half hours to Champoluc. Some hotels run airport pickups; otherwise a hire car is probably the best option, particularly for the Gressoney valley, where some of the best accommodation is several kilometres from the ski area and a car is useful for daily transport. Transfers by bus and train are also possible; services are efficient but involve a minimum of two changes and do not run late at night.

For Gressoney and Champoluc, road access is via the Aosta Valley toll motorway; the Gressoney exit is Pont St Martin; the Champoluc exit is Verres.

Alagna is reached via Borgosesia, with a significantly longer section of mountain approach road. Day trips, by road, to other resorts are not a practical option from here.
