With multiple base villages and options within each of these, there’s a good choice of ski schools and all the areas have some excellent learner terrain.

The whole of the large Alpe di Siusi area seems to have evolved entirely round the needs of novice skiers.

There are also several guiding operations. Though the ski area is popular with piste- skiing intermediates, there are several excellent day trips to make with a guide, starting with the Val Mezdi and its variants. These can be done by competent skiers but are not extreme; as with all the skiing in these parts, the spectacular scenery is a significant part of the day. There are also serious steep routes and the option for multi-day trips, using some excellent on-mountain hut/hotels.
