Intermediate

Some 40% of the terrain is suited to intermediate skiers and boarders, who will want to catch the Sugar Bowl quad for some good cruising on runs like Water Race, Serpentine and Galleries. The Shadow Basin quad (great view of Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu from the look-out area at the top) serves a variety of slopes that favour intermediates and more advanced skiers and riders.

Beginner

Thirty percent of the Remarkables’ terrain is dedicated to beginners. Children of 10 and under – an unusually high cut-off point - ski or ride for free. The novice slopes are easily accessed by the Alta quad chair, serving “encouraging cruisers”, and beginners can access the magic carpet in front of the sun deck.
