Beginners

Although there is little for beginners or early intermediates to fear here unless they wander off piste, of the 1300 acres of available skiing, only 10-15% is graded suitable for beginners – much of it accessed from the “Nice ‘n’ Easy platter”. But as soon as first-time skiers graduate to anything a little more ambitious, a great deal more of the terrain becomes accessible.

Boarding & freestyle

The terrain park is now permanently located in Saddle Basin and includes man- made features – rails, boxes and jumps. There are no man-made pipes: Saddle Basin has three natural quarterpipes right beside the terrain park. Although the park is small, it allows more than adequate entertainment on a mountain already renowned for its free skiing and riding terrain.

Ski schools and guiding

Some 50 instructors provide group lessons, private coaching and specialised clinics, and children’s programmes improvement workshops at all levels.
