Whether star-spotting or on a budget, there are over 50 hotels in the Aspen area. This does not include other lodging options including condominiums, private homes, chalets, and bed & breakfasts. Aspen is a destination (not a day-skier) resort. The town offers accommodations for around 8,000 destination guests with a further 6,000 beds at Snowmass, where 95 percent of the accommodations are conveniently located right on the slopes.

The Little Nell and The St. Regis are famous for star spotting. The Hotel Jerome is a prominent historic landmark, built in 1889 at the height of Colorado’s silver boom and restored in 1985 to its original Victorian splendor.

The Virtual Hostel, accessed through Aspen’s website (www.aspensnowmass.com), offers last-minute accommodations listings in Aspen Snowmass Village. Good deals can be found here, but bear in mind that the prices offered depend on the time of year and occupancy. Updated bargains are posted weekly.
