Beaver Creek

With 39 percent of the slopes groomed for intermediates there is plenty of scope for this level of skier and rider.

The longest trail is Centennial (though it’s part-intermediate, part-advanced) and runs for 2.75 miles (4.5 km). Sticking to the intermediate level, try Raven Ridge that often gets moguls and is the most challenging trail. It’s part of Grouse Mountain, the expert-only area. Alternatively, take the Strawberry Park Lift (No.12), then ski or snowboard over to Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead for fun, groomed cruisers and not many people. Check out Stone Creek Meadows in Rose Bowl, off the Centennial Express Lift (No.6). Or try Village-to-Village skiing in Bachelor Gulch on trails like Grubstake and Gunders off the Bachelor Gulch Express (No.16), or in Arrowhead on Golden Bear trail off Arrow Bahn Express Lift (No.17).
