Taos
There are a handful of lunchtime rendezvous eateries in the pizza and cafeteria mold. Rhoda’s Restaurant, located slopeside in the Resort Center, open from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, has a quiet sit-down atmosphere and on the outside deck you can watch skiers coming down Al’s Run. Elsewhere in the base area you can find all types of food from casual through to fine dining, and from New Mexican through to French cuisine. Tenderfoot Katie’s is the place for a quick, economical breakfast or lunch.
The Bavarian, on the mountain, is a beautiful setting for lunch or a leisurely German-style dinner, while the St. Bernard deck is perfect for sunny days and meeting locals. The Whistlestop Café is located at the base of No.6 lift, close to the No.2 quad chair, and is the best place to meet friends, get a coffee, a slice of pizza, or a bowl of soup. Over at the quad chair for Kachina Bowl is The Phoenix Grill, a handy spot for enjoying lunch—and the outdoor deck is a good place to soak up the sun.
