Arosa

The venue for the 2007 FIS snowboard world championship, Arosa is a traditional Swiss ski resort in the German speaking part of Switzerland, 100 miles (160kms) south east of Zurich at snow sure altitude of 1,739m with a wide-open ski area up to 2,600m.

An all year round health resort since 1877 at the top the Schanfigg Valley, Arosa is popular with families and a mostly well-heeled 40+ crowd. The charming village is built around Lake Obersee with no through traffic and hotel, apartments, chalet properties extending upwards among the pine trees in an attractive hillside setting.
