Snowy Start to Whistler Ski Season

29 November 2012

Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains have recorded a cumulative snowfall of 68 inches with a solid alpine base of 41 inches already this year. With the early season snow, Whistler is well on its way toward their 10-year annual snowfall average of 40 feet.

Last year, the mountains had surpassed the average annual snowfall by March - with several months left in the season. By the time the 2011 / 2012 winter season wrapped up, Whistler had received more than 45 feet of snow.

All this snow means it is shaping up to be another exciting winter in Whistler. In addition to skiing and snowboarding and plenty of on and off-mountain winter activities, the resort is bustling with a busy events schedule. Book a 5-Night / 4-Day Stay & Ski Package from $103* per person, per night including the fifth night of accommodation and Fresh Tracks tickets free.
