Samoens, a stunning resort in the heart of the Grand Massif, deserves to be better known. Unspoilt, and full of charm, it offers over 265km of pistes, linked with Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz and Sixt Fer-a-Cheval, and catering for all abilities. The village itself dates from the 13th century and is largely unspoilt.
St Gervais is one France’s best kept secrets. Nestled at the foot of Mont Blanc and one of the six villages serving the Domaine Evasion Mont Blanc, St Gervais is steeped in history and is a fine blend of old world charm, sympathetic and forward thinking development and great skiing.
If there were a prize for convenient access then the rebranded Lake Annecy Ski Resorts would already be in the envelope ready to be read out. Lake Annecy Ski Resorts is perfect for families and beginners, while La Clusaz itself offers more for intermediates and advanced skiers.
