New airport for the Canadian Rockies

The Canadian Rockies International Airport will open in time for the 2006/07 ski season.
 
Improvements at the former Cranbrook Airport in British Columbia, Canada near the ski resort of (1 hour away) have been completed in time for this winter. The new airport is now equipped to deal with more flights and let skiers and snowboarders get more quickly and easily to ski resorts in the Canadian Rockies including Fernie, Kimberley (20 minutes away) and Panorama (2 hours).
