Halloween skiing in North America
In Killington, the Wobbly Barn Halloween Party takes place on October 31 for the 42nd year - the best costume wins a Killington Season Pass for 2006/07 ski season. Mammoth Mountain, California has got a haunted house from October 25-31, while the Beaver Creek HalloweenFest promises to spook everyone out again this year with pumpkin carving and trick or treating for children as well as 'The Haunted ChopHouse' for those over 6 and spooky movies for all the family on October 28. In Taos there's mask-making for the kids, and skeletons hunts from 10-11.30am at the Harwood Museum, followed by a big Halloween parade for all the family in the evening on October 28. Finally in Squaw Valley, Tahoe will host the Great Pumpkin Festival from October 27 to 31 - test your fear in the haunted house every day, or enter your dog (in fancy dress) in the Howling Doggies competition at the lake on October 28. As well as trick or treating every day if you want to put your blood to good use then you can get a free burger by donating a pint of blood for your local hospital on October 31.
Over the border in Whistler, Canada the B-Grade Horror Fest, where local independent film makers compete for the Skull Trophy with the goriest, scariest film, will take place for the 5th year on October 30.
