Total snowfall of over 600 inches has been recorded at Jackson Hole making it the snowiest season on record for over 40 years. The Raymer study measuring station which recorded the 605 inches of snow since last October is situated at an altitude of over 9,300 feet and hasn?t recorded that much snow since the 1965/66 season.
Given the resort?s underestimating of snowfall in its early years, it is difficult to know exactly how this season compares to previous years. However, locals predict it has been one of the best five seasons of all time at the resort.
