Killington Lift Pass Price Increase to Fund Improvements 19-03-08

Killington have announced a 5 per cent increase in lift pass prices for next season, with the extra income to help finance the $8.4 million investment to be made at the resort in time for the 2008/09 season. The major improvement planned for the resort is an upgrading of the Skye Peak quad, reducing its ride time from 13 minutes to less than 5 minutes, despite the addition of a new detachable quad. It will become the first new lift at the resort in ten years.

Other planned investment includes improvements to the artificial snowmaking system, extending their coverage and replacing the existing snow guns with more energy efficient alternatives. In addition, some of the resort?s trails will be reconfigured. Killington is no stranger to upgrades, having received $3.5 million of investment last year.
