Scottish Resorts Enjoy Best Season in Over a Decade12-04-08
Scotland?s ski resorts have reported their best season in a decade, though the season isn?t finished yet. Good snowfall over Easter will see the season extended to the end of April at least at each of Scotland?s five ski resorts. Although the number of skiers days in Scotland has fallen by 80 per cent in the last six years,
Resorts in Scotland have enjoyed a good 2008 with excellent snowfall across Scotland in early January followed up by copious snowfall in March and over the Easter period. So good has the late season been that Scotland?s most westerly ski resort, Nevis Range, had its best March since the turn of the millennium, whilst the Lecht resort reported an increase in visitors of up to 20 per cent.
